The City of Campbelltown is holding a local government by-election on Saturday 18 March 2017.

Voting at this by-election is compulsory for electors who are:

  • Enrolled to vote in the city of Campbelltown local government area
  • Citizens of Australia
  • 18 years of age or older

Register to receive a Braille ballot paper

To request a Braille ballot paper, you need to register with the NSW Electoral Commission by phoning 1300 135 736.

  • You can register between the hours of 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, from Monday 23 January, through to Wednesday 15 February 2017.
  • You will need to make a verbal declaration that you are eligible for Braille voting.

You must register for your braille ballot paper before 5pm next Wednesday 15 February 2017.

Delivery of your Braille ballot paper

 

Braille ballot papers can be delivered to a:

  • Postal address of your choice (provide these details when you phone to register)
  • Pre-poll venue within the council area conducting that election, or
  • Polling Place (of your choice) on Election Day within the local government area.

Returning your braille ballot paper:

Braille ballot papers must be received in the Returning Officer's Office by 6pm on Monday 20 March 2017.

You can vote at the by-election in the following ways:

Postal voting

Postal vote applications will be accepted up until 5.00pm on Monday, 13 March 2017. To apply visit www.elections.nsw.gov.au or call 1300 135 736.

Pre-poll voting

Pre-poll voting can be conducted at the Returning Officer's Office.

  • Monday, 6th March to Friday, 10th March; 8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Monday, 13th March to Thursday, 16th March; 8.30am - 4.30pm

On election day polling places are open between 8.00am and 6.00pm.
